MAC's Archie's Girl's Collection
Hey Loves!
So I finally received the few items that I got from the Archie's Girls collection from MAC. When I ordered these, mostly everything was already sold out. I wanted a few of the Betty lipsticks but those were gone. The Veronica lipsticks were a bit too dark for my liking and they were sold out anyways, lol.
I got the e-mail that the Archie's Girl's collection was online at about 5AM. I immediately went to the website on my phone and everything was sold out already! How is that possible? I guess all of the East Coast people had already bought everything by the time the West Coast people get anything, lol.
When I first heard about this collection, I knew I had to get my hands on a few items. Growing up I used to have boxes and boxes of Archie's comics. They were my faves!! Makes me wish I had some now to read, lol. Hmmm...I think I saw some in the grocery store not too long ago...Maybe I need to go and pick one up just for fun! haha :)
Anyways, so I got my hands on two items that I really liked. The Veronica Blush in "Prom Princess" and the Pearlmatte Face powder in "Flatter Me." How cute is the packaging? The boxes alone are so adorable that I'm not sure I wanna throw them out, lol. These are definitely great keepsakes and you gotta love the pretty colors!
Prom Princess Blush (L) and Flatter Me Pearlmatte Face Powder (R)
Prom Princess Blush
The Pearlmatte Face powder in Flatter Me is described as golden peach with coral hearts. It is a mixture of pearlized and satin shades to achieve an array of looks. Use for highlighting, blush, or as an eyeshadow.
Flatter Me Pearlmatte Face Powder
The colors are very light and shiny. My iPhone didn't pick up the color too well when I took a picture. The golden peach is on the left and the coral hearts is on the right. This powder will be super cute to use in the summer time as a highlighter. You can also use it over a blush to give cheeks a nice glow. Super pretty color!
Did you get to pick up any items from the Archie's Girls collection? What did you think of it?

Beyonce's Makeup at the Super Bowl 2013
Hey Loves!
So hopefully you all got a chance to see Beyonce's performance last night for the Super Bowl half time show. It was awesome and I loved when Kelly and Michelle came out and did a Destiny's Child reunion performance. I almost cried when they first started singing together. I know, I know I'm a sissy, lol. I was the biggest fan of theirs since the beginning so it definitely was nice to see them all again and to see Beyonce finally perform after a hiatus.
However, I was a little bit disappointed when I first saw her makeup. Now mind you, she looked gorgeous but I wasn't feeling her smokey eye. It made her look really tired and like she had dark circles under her eyes. Not sure if it was just me who thought this but I think a pop of color would of made it much better. A nice purple smokey eye would have been gorgeous. I also think it made her eyes look really small.

Urban Decay's Naked Skin Beauty Balm
Hey Loves!
So last month I received a sample of Urban Decay's Naked Skin Beauty Balm from Ipsy. I got it even before it came out so that was great. Well I fell in love with it! I purchased it the other day from Sephora because my sample finally ran out.
I've been looking for something to minimize my oil because my face can get really shiny by the end of the day. This is the cure! It keeps my face matte all day and does a few other things to improve the skin's texture. Check out my review below! :)
Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm:
A five-in-one beauty balm that minimizes pores, lines, wrinkles, and redness instantly and gives you significantly firmer, more-lifted skin in eight weeks. Blur flaws in seconds and get serious antiaging benefits in just eight weeks. This lightweight, velvety, oil-free miracle works instantly and over the long term.
Naked Skin Beauty Balm is invisible on your skin (zero rub-off): the universal shade glides on and dries down to a translucent, flawless finish that works on most skintones. While many beauty balms are tinted to provide coverage, Naked Skin diffuses light with high-tech pigments to give you amazing, natural, naked-looking skin that keeps getting better every week. Unlike a lot of beauty balms, Naked Skin delivers measurable antiaging benefits—and the claims to prove it.
Pros:
- I noticed that it immediately evens out my skin tone.
- It eliminates redness.
- It keeps my skin matte all day!
- It is very lightweight and you can barely feel it after it is applied.
- Once it is blended into the skin it adjusts to your skin tone.
- It provides anti-aging benefits. However, I haven't used it for long enough to notice any improvements yet.
- It gives your face a beautiful, glowing flawless finish.
- It goes on very smooth and there is no greasy after feeling.
- The color may not be suitable for lighter skin tones. I noticed a few complaints from people with lighter complexions.
- Urban Decay should make a few different colors in this for all complexions.
- If you have combination skin or dry skin then you may need to still use your daily moisturizer as it does not give a lot of moisture.
The Verdict: A+
This is by far the best BB cream that I have tried. It does exactly what it says it does and is perfect for my combination skin. I apply it after I apply my MAC Oil Control Lotion. I then apply my MAC Studio Tint Moisturizer. You can simply use this BB cream alone. However, I like the coverage I get when I use it in combination with my tinted moisturizer. I get beautiful, glowing skin and I set it with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Dark. It is perfect for oily skin and definitely keeps your face matte all day! I have barely had to use my oil sheets. If you haven't already, definitely give this a try!
You can purchase this BB cream here for $34.
Have you tried this yet? What do you think of it?

Sally Hansen Salon Effects: Glitz Blitz
Hey Loves!
I wanted to share with you all my nails of the week! I am loving these Sally Hansen's Polish Strips. They are so easy to use and they look great! They kind of remind me of gel manicures. I kept getting gel manicures for the longest time and then I recently stopped because I sort of got bored with them.
These last about as long as a gel manicure and they are less than half the price! I bought these from Wal-Mart for $8.50. The strips that I am wearing are called Glitz Blitz. The only downside is that they only have 32 different designs. If you wear these all the time you can get through those rather quickly. However, there are many other companies that are making these now so you could definitely give those a shot. Sometimes you can find some of the designs on sale at Ulta as well. That is how I first tried them out.
If you haven't heard of these then you must be living under a rock, LOL. Anyways I just wanted to share these with you because I am loving them. Have you tried these yet?
Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!

Intergloss.com
Hello My Loves!
I am back from a long hiatus! Sorry to keep you all hanging but with the busyness of the holidays and traveling I just felt like there wasn't enough time in the day. I am back and ready to get back on track with my blog!
Recently, I was contacted by a new website called Intergloss.com. Intergloss is a beauty product review site focused on comprehensive user-generated reviews, photos, swatches, and soon to come, videos. As soon as I went to the website I fell in love with it. It is a great idea and as more users find out about it I think it can be great. I am always looking for reviews on different products that I want to purchase so this is a perfect website that provides users with reviews on all beauty products on one website.
I answered a few questions for the website as I will be featured on the "Featured User" area on the homepage. I am not sure when I will be featured as I just sent in my questions today but I will be sure to post it once my interview is up!
Anyways I wanted to share the short interview that I did as I thought some of the questions and answers may be interesting for you all to read as well.
Intergloss.com Interview:
1. How do you feel about wearing bright colors?
I am not against it but I do like to stick in the neutral color zone. However, I do like to wear bright pink clothing such as tops, etc. I also do not like to wear bright eyeshadow as sometimes I think it can look like too much. The person has to be pretty creative to make it look wearable.
2. What one product do you believe is the most versatile?
The Naked palette by Urban Decay has to be the most versatile product on the market. I believe this palette is great for a newbie to a professional. This palette can create a vast array of looks that can be changed from day to night. There are so many different colors to choose from as well that it is a great bang for your buck!
3. If you were to splurge on one product, what would it be?
One product that I would love to splurge on is Guerlain's Terracotta Bronzing powder. I splurged on this powder once before but since I ran out I haven't been able to bite the bullet and buy it. This powder gives the skin a beautiful tanned glow and is the perfect addition to accent a tan or make you look like you were tanning. The steep price is what holds me back. It is definitely a splurge!
4. What advice would you give to someone wanting to get started with makeup?
Youtube is the best way to get started with makeup. There are so many different videos made by makeup junkies to makeup artists. There are product reviews, tricks, technique lessons, and more. This has helped me to learn new makeup techniques. I think it is a great way for a person to get started and learn new makeup techniques for free!
5. What tips do you have to help your makeup last in hot weather?
I live in Las Vegas, NV so I know a lot about makeup lasting in hot weather. Sometimes it can get to about 120F. This type of heat is where makeup will slip right off if you do not use the proper makeup products. First, I use MAC's Oil Control lotion all over my face. Then, I always apply Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer in light. This primer helps to control oil and provides a matte finish all day. I use MAC's Studio Moisture Tint which provides an SPF 15. I also like to use MAC's Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Dark to set my makeup. This powder provides a natural matte finish but gives a nice glow to the face. I also make sure to keep blotting papers in my purse to keep oil at bay.
So that is the interview. I hope you all enjoyed some of the questions that I answered for them and I will be sure to post when my interview is up on the website. Please be sure to check out Intergloss.com and let me know what you think!

Ipsy November Bag
Hi Loves!
I know, I know! Long time no post! I have been a super busy lady lately. We were away for a week for Thanksgiving. We went to Alabama to spend Thanksgiving with my In-Laws. We had a lot of fun and it was sad to come back to reality (School, Work, Etc.). I've been meaning to post this beauty bag I got from Ipsy a long time ago but I've been a busy busy woman. So here it is!
1. Starlet Cosmetics Intense Eyeliner in Black: These creamy eyeliner pencils glide on to deliver a lasting vibrant color in chocolate or black. Blend or line your lids to create your favorite glam look, whether a smoky eye or straight line wing tip.
This eyeliner is a nice creamy one. However, it didn't wow me. It seemed like any other black eyeliner. I also don't tend to use pencil eyeliners. I like wet eyeliner and I usually use a kohl crayon to fill in my waterline.
2. Bare Minerals Lip Gloss in Marvelous Moxie: Unleash your inner moxie with a fabulously full, pillowy pout. The luscious marvelous Moxie lipgloss delivers vibrant sheer-to-medium color with a glistening mirror-like finish.
This lipgloss is a gorgeous color! I usually tend to wear lighter pinks than this but I'm loving this. It is also super shiny and creamy. It isn't sticky either. It actually did a really good job at moisturizing my lips. I definitely want to look in to more colors.
3. CHELLA Eyebrow Defining Gel: This clear colored brow gel lifts and holds eyebrow hairs and grooms them into place. The application tool helps remove the guesswork. Use sparingly.
I wasn't impressed by this eyebrow gel. I currently use MAC's Clear Eyebrow Gel and this certainly wasn't better than that. I actually think that I got a bad bottle of this. It may have dried out inside the container because I barely get any product on the wand when I pull it out.
4. NAILTINI in Millionaire: Millionaire spikes a base of rose gold micro-glitter with iridescent gold and teal tinsels for statement-making nails, whether worn alone or as a dazzling special-effect topcoat.
This color is gorgeous but I'm not sure how often I will use it. Sometimes I will use a glitter topcoat over my regular polish. So this should be pretty for the holiday season! :)
5. theBalm Meet Matte Eyeshadow: Matt Batali is just one of the nine shadows found in theBalm’s Meet Matte(e) compact palette (named after their favorite Matthews next door) which can be combined to create a multitude of soft and wearable looks. Matt Batali leaves a dark, matte finish, perfect for creating a smokey eye.
This color is super pretty and right up my alley. I love matte colors especially browns. This color is like a charcoal brownish grey. Super pretty and I can't wait to try this color out. It is highly pigmented as well. I'm sort of nervous about the fall out though. Every time I use an eyeshadow by theBalm I tend to get A LOT of fallout.
So that is everything that I received in this month's Ipsy bag. If you are interested in finding out more about Ipsy Beauty Bags... check them out here. It costs $10 a month for a bag full of goodies like this one. Have you tried any of these products? What did you think of this month's bag?
